System Engineer

Rozee is seeking a skilled System Engineer with at least three years of experience to join our technology team. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in system administration and shell scripting to maintain and enhance our IT infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of computer systems while working closely with various departments to support business operations. The System Engineer will contribute technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize servers and networks. This position does not involve managing a team but requires effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and external partners.
Responsibilities

Manage, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and network devices to ensure optimal function and availability.
Develop, test, and deploy shell scripts to automate routine system administration tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Implement system security measures including patch management, access controls, and vulnerability assessments to protect organizational data.
Perform regular backups and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and support disaster recovery plans.
Collaborate with application and network teams to integrate technology solutions aligned with business needs.
Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports to maintain accurate technical records.
Analyze system logs and audit data to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
Participate in planning and executing system upgrades, migrations, and testing to support evolving technical environments.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in system engineering to recommend improvements and innovations.
