MHS Dev is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer (SSE) with a minimum of five years of experience to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate demonstrates deep expertise in software development processes, focusing on delivering high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code. This role involves collaborating closely with product managers and other engineers to design, develop, and enhance software applications using best industry practices. As an individual contributor, the Senior Software Engineer works independently without team management responsibilities but plays a key role in mentoring junior engineers and driving technical excellence within the engineering organization. The position requires strong abilities in version control systems, code review practices, and continuous integration and deployment strategies. The successful candidate is self-driven, attentive to detail, and capable of effectively handling complex technical challenges to support the companys mission and technology goals.
Responsibilities

Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software components in alignment with project requirements and company standards.
Participate actively in code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and security across the development team.
Utilize version control systems to manage codebase changes effectively and coordinate with teammates on software merges and releases.
Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to streamline building, testing, and releasing software reliably and efficiently.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management and QA to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions on schedule.
Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner.
Apply best practices in software design, architecture, and debugging to improve maintainability and scalability of applications.
Document software designs, workflows, and configuration settings to support transparency and future development efforts.
Stay updated with emerging software development technologies and methodologies to recommend improvements and innovations.
Mentor and guide junior engineers by sharing knowledge and offering feedback on coding and design practices.
