MHS Dev is seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to lead a team of 5 professionals in designing and developing advanced software solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of system architecture design and microservices architecture to deliver scalable and maintainable applications. The ideal candidate will drive the software development lifecycle following agile methodologies and ensure code quality through rigorous code review and quality assurance processes. With at least 2 years of experience, the Principal Software Engineer plays a critical role in guiding technical strategy while mentoring the team to achieve project objectives efficiently and effectively. In this position, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs. You will oversee the implementation of complex software systems, optimize performance, and troubleshoot architectural challenges. Leading by example, you will establish best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment. Your leadership skills will ensure smooth communication and coordination within your team, fostering a collaborative environment that cultivates innovation and continuous improvement in software development at MHS Dev.
Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of scalable and robust software architectures based on system architecture design and microservices principles.
Manage and mentor a team of 5 software engineers, providing guidance and support to enhance their technical skills and productivity.
Implement and enforce agile methodologies to ensure continuous delivery and iterative improvement of software products.
Conduct comprehensive code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and security.
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Identify and resolve complex software design and integration issues to optimize system performance and reliability.
Develop and maintain documentation related to architectural designs, coding standards, and development processes.
Promote best practices in software engineering, including automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into existing systems.
Foster a team environment that encourages knowledge sharing, professional growth, and open communication.
