PHP Engineer(Backend Focus)

MHS Dev is seeking a skilled PHP Engineer with a backend focus to join our dynamic development team. This role requires a professional who is proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining server-side web application logic. The ideal candidate works closely with frontend developers and other stakeholders to deliver seamless, functional, and scalable web solutions. With at least one year of experience, the PHP Engineer contributes to creating efficient database queries, implementing secure RESTful APIs, and following security best practices. Although this position does not involve managing a team, strong independent work ethic and collaboration skills are essential to succeed and drive project success. The PHP Engineer at MHS Dev engages in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, integration, and testing of backend components. Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code utilizing object-oriented programming principles and MVC frameworks. The engineer optimizes database management and ensures robustness and security in all backend services. Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain server-side logic using PHP with a focus on backend functionality.
Implement and manage RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between frontend and backend systems.
Apply Object Oriented Programming (OOP) principles to create modular and reusable code components.
Design and optimize database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and manage data integrity.
Employ MVC frameworks to structure applications for maintainability and scalability.
Ensure the implementation of security best practices to protect applications from vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with frontend developers, UX/UI teams, and project managers to deliver complete web solutions.
Perform troubleshooting and debugging to improve application performance and resolve technical issues.
Write clear, comprehensive documentation for backend services and processes.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of coding standards.
