MHS Dev is seeking a skilled PHP Developer II with at least two years of experience to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate specializes in Object Oriented Programming and has a solid understanding of Database Management, Version Control, and API Integration. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that meet client requirements and align with industry best practices. The PHP Developer II will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and improve existing systems. The developer is responsible for writing clean, efficient code and conducting code reviews to ensure code quality. While this position does not include team management duties, the candidate will participate actively in agile development processes and contribute to continuous integration and deployment activities. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to staying current with emerging development trends and technologies.
Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy PHP applications following best coding practices and company standards.
  • Implement Object Oriented Programming principles to create modular, reusable, and maintainable code.
  • Manage database systems, including writing and optimizing SQL queries and maintaining data integrity.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and develop custom APIs to extend application functionality.
  • Employ version control tools to manage codebase changes and collaborate with other developers effectively.
  • Perform code reviews to identify bugs and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed about new PHP developments and incorporate relevant advancements into projects.
  • Contribute to documentation related to software design, development, and testing procedures.
