Chughtai Health Care is seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Technologist to join our dedicated team. This role involves operating advanced imaging technologies such as radiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and computed tomography (CT) to assist in accurate diagnosis and patient care. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Medical Imaging Technology (MIT) or Medical Imaging and Diagnostics (MID) and demonstrates strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols, image quality control, and healthcare information systems. This position is suited for professionals with up to two years of experience who are committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and diagnostic accuracy. Operating sophisticated equipment and adhering closely to safety and quality guidelines are essential responsibilities in this role.
Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations including X-ray radiography, MRI, ultrasound, and CT scans to capture accurate images for medical analysis.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process clearly, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
  • Operate and maintain various imaging equipment such as MRI scanners, digital radiography systems, and CT imaging devices, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
  • Apply radiation safety protocols rigorously to minimize exposure to patients and staff while conducting radiographic procedures.
  • Calibrate MRI scanners regularly and optimize MRI pulse sequences to enhance image quality and diagnostic efficiency.
  • Monitor radiation dose through dosimetry measurement and radiation dose monitoring techniques to comply with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Use healthcare information systems (HIS) to manage patient data, image storage, retrieval, and reporting with high accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Conduct quality control checks on imaging equipment and systems to detect and resolve any technical issues promptly, maintaining optimal functioning.
  • Implement standard radiographic positioning techniques tailored to specific examinations to ensure precise imaging and reduce the need for repeat scans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and contribute valuable insights to patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Maintain meticulous records of imaging activities, equipment maintenance, and safety checks to ensure compliance with hospital policies and external regulations.
  • Stay updated on advances in imaging technology, radiation safety, and diagnostic techniques through continuous professional development and training opportunities.
